Mule Days Cowboy BBQ Kickoff April 11th, 2026

BISHOP, CA – Bishop Mule Days Celebration invites the community to Saddle Up for a Cowboy BBQ on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Elks Park in Bishop. This lively kickoff event sets the tone for Mule Days week, bringing together great food, live music, and family-friendly fun in true Eastern Sierra style. 

Guests can enjoy hearty barbecue, live music from Eastern Sierra Now, raffle prizes, and activities for kids, all in a relaxed outdoor setting. Proceeds from the event support local nonprofits that help make Mule Days possible each year, adding even more meaning to an already memorable afternoon.

Parade Entries Now Open: Step into a true piece of Mule Days history by joining the  “World’s Longest Non-Motorized Parade.” Participants can walk, ride, or drive their own  animals through the heart of Bishop in this one-of-a-kind tradition that has even earned  recognition in the Guinness World Records. Stalling is available, making it easy for out-of town participants to join in. 

Contestant Registration: For those ready to compete, Mule Days offers a wide range of  classes showcasing mulemanship, and Western skill.
